Stop 7. Final one - what a spectacular building. Apologies - too in awe to note the other beers on (or a bit too pissed maybe).

Early Sunday afternoon and fairly busy but only two staff behind the bar. I waited my turn and ordered a half pint of G2 Crux which was advertised at £2.45 per pint so I was somewhat surprised to be asked £2.45 for a half. The staff member then checked the till, consulted with the other staff member who tried another till, she then came back and told me that "The till does not give a discount for halves". I declined to make the purchase and am waiting for a reply to my email to Wetherspoons Head Office. UPDATE I have received a telephone call from the Manager apologising for a misunderstanding by her staff. I am pleased to say that the matter has been resolved.

Late afternoon, not too busy but apart from the usual standard beers everything that was available was a Christmas beer so I just had a half.

11:00 visit. Came to take a look at the big Folke2tone Ska Splash weekend of live music, scooters, Doc Martens and all things Two Tone? Had been busy Friday and Saturday around the Harbour area pubs apparently with more of the same today. Mixed crowd of diners/drinkers in now and good service noted. And quite surprised I've not been here for nearly a year!

17:00 visit. Last call in Shepway and we were swiftly served today, which was good, and much better than the ale on this visit!
BeerABVScoreNotes
Shepherd Neame - Rudolph's Reward3.70PoorHere they come again. The Xmas ales? Not sure at all on this seasonal from Shep's. Should it really taste this bad? We both agreed on this. Very poor, harsh taste. Will need to try this somewhere else for a comparison. No time to try the other decent LocAles on....

19:30 visit. Fairly swift service today. First and only visit this weekend to this very average JD. Fair crowd in but plenty of seats and tables available.

17:30 visit. Queued for an age to get served today even though not overly busy. Four ales on and my pint was well short of an acceptable measure. Staff are none too keen either. Great building/conversion just let down today by poor service.
