Sold and closed. It will now be used as accommodation for workers building the Aberdeen bypass.

Mostly locals.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Timothy Taylor - Landlord4.30AcceptableFirst pint was pulled absolutely flat with no head. How did they manage that when the second attempt had good condition? Anyway, the beer was anononymous. Could have been any mid-brown bitter.

Friendly but sat outside and enjoyed the sun.

Friendly as ever.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harviestoun - Bitter & Twisted3.80GoodAfter a series of disappointments B&T seems to be regaining some long lost form. Good cirtus hopping and a firmer body. Good bitter finish.

Very quiet. Good to see a local ale.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Deeside - Macbeth4.10AcceptableThis was a predictable amber ale missing the hoppy zing it had on launch. Malts chosen add little to the interest.

The pub is found in Maryculter, Aberdeenshire, AB12 5FX.

Family run inn and hotel near the River Dee at Maryculter just outside Aberdeen. Welcoming lounge bar with lots of tartan where you'll find friendly service and chatty locals. Don't expect exciting guests but, most likely, three mainstream ales. If you're hungry there's a choice of bar meals or something more substantial from the restaurant.

We have visited this pub 11 times, seen 6 different beers and tried 3 of them.
