After a 5 hour drive we were all up for a drink by the time we got here. This is a great beer festival, great selection of beer and a good crowd of people.
BeerABVScoreNotes
BrewDog - Hardcore IPA9.00ExceptionalI actually thought this tasted almost barley wine'ish'. An exlosion of different flavours, loads of hops with a real resinous taste to it. My beer of the festival.
BrewDog - Chaos Theory7.10ExcellentFantastic, rich and hoppy ale. I love this brewery, consistently brilliant beer.
Goose Eye - Over and Stout5.20GoodI really liked this, relatively simple with dry roasted malt and a little chocolate. Simple yet effective.
Abbeydale - Absolution5.30AcceptableSweet, malty beer. Fruity and a little syrupy, almost there but something was missing.
Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Rakau5.00AcceptableTasted like farm. Grassy and a little fruity. Weird and not sure I liked it.
Clark's (sometimes shown as Westgate Brewery) - Hells Bells IPA6.70UndrinkableThis tasted like rotten apples, made my eyes water. The barman said he thought it was off, he was right. Got a replacement.
