It's been ages since I was here, I used to be here most weekends a few years back, the jukebox is excellent. Good relaxed vibe with only around half a dozen others in.

It's been a long time since I was here, I really like the vibe here and it has a great jukebox. Really eclectic mix of people.

Marston's - Wychwood Hobgoblin IPA (was Ruby Beer, was Hobgoblin)4.50AcceptableI still shed a tear whenever I see this 'new improved' version of Hobgoblin. Malty and a little fruit. Not bad but not particularly memorable.

Half full with young people with strange haircuts (skinheads, mohicans, long pony tails etc). The jukebox was hammering out the heavy metal and a middle aged couple who wandered in from the High Street wandered straight back out again. Debbie said it would be OK if you'd already had a few.

Marston's - Wychwood Hobgoblin IPA (was Ruby Beer, was Hobgoblin)4.50ExcellentThis was still excellent. It was smooth, easy drinking, with chocolate malts and a bitter bite.

Late Saturday lunchtime. Pretty full with plenty of non-Irish people celebrating St Patrick's day. A fairly mixed but mainly young crowd with an eclectic mix of music on the jukebox.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Marston's - Wychwood Hobgoblin IPA (was Ruby Beer, was Hobgoblin)4.50ExcellentI liked this. Dark brown with a ruby tinge, lasting beige head, chocolate malt in the mouth and a rounded bitter finish.

Part of pub crawl with Andrew. This used to be the Black Griffin an old haunt for us 15 years ago when I used to drink Stella in here. Now a Wychwood pub with 3 beer engines. Alright, but a bit studenty with a good juke box
BeerABVScoreNotes

Once upon a time this was the 'Black Griffin' and the old sign on the wall inside the pub is still there. Now it's a Wychwood pub and the inside looks much like it did when it was the Griffin - bare.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Marston's - Wychwood Hobgoblin IPA (was Ruby Beer, was Hobgoblin)4.50AcceptableDark coloured with a sickly maltyness about it and very little hops.
