First pub on our Worcester tour. Good breakfast, good line up from the festival, quite a few rugby fans in. Manager was great, coming over and talking about beer and the current festival.

Everards (see entries against Joule's & Robinsons whilst its new brewery was being built) - Old Original5.20AcceptableChestnut, slight hae, thick beige head. It’s a decent slightly herby strong bitter. OK hops. Quite spicy and reminds me a bit of some hard candy sugar sweets in terms of flavour. OK
Exmoor - Antler4.00AcceptableChestnut colour lasting beige head. It’s alright, bit of biscuit on a normal bitter. Bit of yeast character on aroma. Not much hop on finish. Some toffee, some biscuit.
Harviestoun - Deer Hunter4.20AcceptableGold, fine Harviestoun beer. Some decent hop, bit of tea flavour. OK paleish malts with a bit more than usual fullness.
Leeds - Gathering Storm4.40PoorBlack, ruby, dark brown edges with thick lasting tan head. Diacetyl and roasted malt aroma. Not my kind of beer at all. Liquourice and diacetyl, I can’t think of worse combi of flavours for me.

First pub in Ian and my tour of Worcester. We came mainly for breakfast but also because it's supposed to be a good pub. The manager came over and chatted to us about where he get's his beer from and general beer things. He said he was hoping to shift around 10000 pints of beer during his current beer festival. That's a lot of beer!

Shepherd Neame - Dambuster4.40AcceptableBit card-boardy for me. Sweet resinous perfumed hop (Cascade Ian tells me). Light brown in colour.
