Another cycle group meeting. 10 of us took over the front bar a bit and got some frosty stares from the staff. Not sure why, plenty of room in the rest of this barn of a place.
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride | 4.10 | | Disappointingly bland and it much life. I might go for Doom Bar next time! |
Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter | 3.70 | Not Tried
Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried

Sunday lunch, cycle group meet. The place was very busy with a good number of diners. Landlord spotted me looking disappointed at my cloudy pint and promptly replaced it and that of my friend too. Good reaction, but pulling one off first would have been better.

Cycle group meet. 11 of us. Ales were drinking well - but now close to £5 a pint here.

Late lunchtime. A few locals in. I stopped in to check this as a possible cycle group venue. Spacious and friendly, rather a tame beer choice - but at least a choice! Good location on the Stour.

Late lunchtime just after 2:30 - I was concerned it might not be open but actually very busy with eaters and drinkers. There is an adjacent campsite as well as being in the navigable part of the river Stour.
Shame about the beer choice.
Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | | This really doesn't deserve to be so popular. Good condition but practically tasteless. |

Busy with mainly campers I guess. Sat in the garden which was well manicured.
Marston's - Bass | 4.40 | | Hoppy yellowy brown beer with a nutty maltyness to it. |
Wadworth - 6X | 4.10 | | Brown nutty bitter with a sickly sweet aftertaste. Not one for me I think |
Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%) | 3.40 | Not Tried | Yes, it is everywhere! |
