Early Sunday evening - busy in the bar. Went to Great Chart with the intention of ticking off the Little Black Dog from my wish list - but it was closed. One of the locals in the Swan told me the Little Black Dog is closed at the moment but hopes to be up and running again before Christmas.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Shepherd Neame - Howling Wolf4.50GoodA new beer for me - but then I usually avoid Sheps. This was interestingly different to their mainstream fare.

Late afternoon to late evening, quieter than expected so we took over the bar area and chatted to the bar staff. Mexican Garlic Bread not on the menu however ChrisE made a special request to the chef who kindly knocked some up for us and it was delicious as ever..

Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00ExcellentThe only cask offering which was in spot on nick and ticked all one's boxes.

Friday afternoon, most of the customers were in the garden area, the interior was fairly quiet but I expect this was the lull before the storm as this place gets very busy with diners later on.

Late afternoon visit and much talk about Shepherd Neame taking over Village Green Restaurants. The general feeling is that they are not going to change a winning formula.
