I was impressed by this little pub, which is now owned by Bath Ales. Nice staff and good beer selection. Quiet, early on a Sunday evening.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Wild Weather - Cumulo Citrus6.00ExcellentPale gold in colour. Strong-tasting, Citra hops. A bit wheaty.
Siren Craft - 10 Finger Discount7.20ExcellentWow! A Citra-hopped IPA that has been aged over cedar wood. What a full-flavoured beer. If it had been served at a better temperature (it was a bit warm) I may have found 5 stars here.

Reasonably full with diners.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Black Wolf (formerly Traditional Scottish Ales (TSA)) - Ruby Red Hot Chilli4.20AcceptableStarts off like any other malty red ale but the chilli soon kicks in to give a hot kick to the finish. My score 14/20.
17 Dec 2010 (Martin the Mildman)
Fairly busy with locals and tourists mainly dining.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Wyre Piddle - Piddle on the Pisste4.30AcceptableVery malty amber bitter with low hopping. My score 14/20.
Keltek - Winter Ale3.80AcceptableUnremarkable bitter, fairly thin tasting with hop just dominating over malt but neither prominent. My score 14/20.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Slater's - Top Totty4.00AcceptableVery pale rather one dimensional hoppy beer, citrus hops taste but little other flavour to add balance. Not as good as it was before the brewery moved. My score 14/20.

The pub is found in Oxford, Oxfordshire, OX1 2AT.

Long, thin ex Morrells pub in George Street that was for some time owned by Greene King. Now has an interesting selection of guest beers alongside Bath Ales's standards. Refurbished and re-named in September 2015. Taken over by West Berkshire brewery in April 2019 with change back to original name. Closed in December 2021 after this operator fell on hard financial times. Re-opened in August 2023.

We have visited this pub 4 times, seen 10 different beers and tried 6 of them.
