We came for an early dinner before heading home. If I'd not been feeling ill I'd have had a beer as they are usually good here.

Gone are the days of pictures of frigates on the walls, and of casual pints and ploughmans; today it's a full steam ahead cororate sausage machine. The staff are friendly though and the beer is still good.

Came for a meal. Covid measures out in force. Food was good but pricey.

Came for a big family meal. I preferred the pub before they gutted and enlarged it. Oh well.

This place has had a major revamp since I was last here. It's now a swanky restaurant-like affair with chap in chinos and loafers showing you to your table. That said, there bar (which have been entirely remodeled and relocated) has some seating for drinkers and the front of the pub also seems drinker friendly. The beer was good too.

We'd arrived in Lyme Regis at 11am and after a brief walk around in the bad weather came here. I've always quite liked the Pilot.

Dinner at the Pilot. The menu has gone all ciabatta and gone from our corner are the photos of assorted friggets and destroyers on the wall.

Ah the Pilot Boat. Job's a good 'un! I'm a bit tipsee now after 7 hours in a car (bloody M25) and 1.5 pints of Dorset beer. Yes that's all it's taken. I'm going to read some Robert B Parker now. Good bye.
