Mid afternoon and busy with diners and drinkers and more arriving during our 50 minute stay the bus timetable allowed us. Friendly and welcoming the busy lone landlady coped well with the orders and even had time for some banter in between.

We capitalised on the £2 single bus cap and decided to visit here after the Flying Horse with most convenient bus stops right outside the pub. Friendly late afternoon welcome with just the two cask ales on offer but local Kent brews and both in excellent condition.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Musket - Fife & Drum Golden Ale3.80ExcellentLight creamy refreshing with an earthy bitter finish. Delicious..
Tonbridge - Countryman4.00ExcellentSlight malts and caramel with a hoppy bite for this traditional cooking bitter.
