Afternoon visit, we sat in the right hand bar and chatted about pubs and trains with a couple from South Wales.

Always thought this was a great pub. Lovely interior and very busy. The staff were friendly too. Tony and I ended our night in Winchester here sitting at the bar.

Early afternoon and a good time to visit this interesting pub. I particularly liked the baboon wearing a kilt and the elephant's leg in the bar. Several ladies on a nearby table were amused by the "eyeballs in the sky" in the ladies lavatories.

Lunchtime on a wet and cold day, it was a pleasure to just sit here and look at the various collections of all sorts of things, including a display of noses. Service was good, and the staff seemed to know about their products.

Excellent pub and very busy. The inside rambles from one room to the next and each has plenty of interesting things to look at.

Multi roomed pub on Wharf Hill, with numerous peculiar pieces of furniture. The building itself is very old. A central bar serves a variety of eclectically decorated rooms. There is more bric-a-brac than one can poke a stick at including many surprising stuffed animals, even in the garden.
