My first visit here. Although it is a large pub, it was uncomfortably crowded early on a Saturday evening. I was unable to take note of the other beers available, but there were lots of them.

Dow Bridge - Bonum Mild3.50ExcellentA proper East Midlands mild, ruby/black in colour with sweet malt flavours of caramel, liquorice and toffee. Very little hoppiness and a fruity finish. My score 17/20.
Dow Bridge - D.B. Dark4.40ExcellentStronger version of Bonum Mild but not as dark, with all the same attributes, e.g. sweet malty flavours, low hopping and a fruity finish. My score 17/20.
Shottle Farm - 8/- Ale4.00GoodA dark red bitter with a good balance of malt and hop flavours with a slightly dry finish. My score 15/20.

Muirhouse - Magnum Mild4.50ExcellentExcellent black mild packed full of dark malt flavours; chocolate, coffee, liquorice, toffee, they're all there. No room for any hop flavours with all that going on. My score 16/20.
