First time here but been on my list for a while. Nice old school pub - but with 1990's dance music on. I noticed Gadd's 5 had been on but the pump clip was turned.

Saturday lunchtime and a fair number of customers in. We had a good chat with the landlady about various things including alterations that had been made to the pub many years ago, and her pub being credited with Trip Advisor reviews for the other Cat and Custard Pot which is in Shipton Moyne, Gloucestershire.

I caught the bus to the Battle of Britain Museum at Hawkinge and walked up the hill to Paddlesworth, I was hoping to get some Gadds and have a lunch, but as there was no Gadds I decided to just have a pint and walk back to Hawkinge. The vast majority of customers appeared to be regulars visiting the pub for food.

Delightful, calm & cosy pub with plenty of atmosphere, sense of humour and RAF WW2 memorabilia. Superb Dragon's Blood ale. Clean, modern toilets. A very enjoyable visit - also to the adjacent St Oswald's church with it's quirky detail.

The pub is found in Paddlesworth, Kent, CT18 8AD.

Lovely pub in Paddlesworth Lane, with a horseshoe shaped bar in one room. Lots of WW11 RAF memorabilia including models of a Spitfire, Hurricane and (I think) a Gypsy Moth. These are big models with at least a 6ft wingspan. During WW11 this was the closest pub to Hawkinge aerodrome and was used by the people there.

We have visited this pub 6 times, seen 7 different beers and tried 5 of them.
