11:30 visit. My second call today. Busy enough and some decent ales on, including two award winning milds. This Wetherspoon outlet has been awarded, three times, CAMRA Mild poty. I'm sure our good friend MTMM has this on his Radar!

Loughboroughs' second best ale house. L.E.D screen, a' la' Babington, Derby, showing all the ales on. Very impressive and a good ale range too.

Wetherspoon set in the Grade II listed Atherstone House in Wards End, A spacious beer garden to the rear. Usual food menu is available every day. A decent selection of guest and house ales, always including a Mild, is served to top Cask Marque quality, and frequent ale and cider festivals are hosted. Local CAMRA Mild Pub of the Year 2009-10-11, and Town Pub of the Year 2008. Placed up for sale by Wetherspoon September 2022 with 31 others. Closed Sunday 1st October 2023.
