Almost empty mid-evening on a Monday and, with Tower Bridge Road closed to vehicle traffic, this pub almost had a Ghost Town/Ship kind of atmosphere. Nothing wrong with the beer though.

Adnams - Ghost Ship4.50ExcellentOn very fine, sparkling form – even better than the pint of the same beer I had drunk nearby earlier in the evening.

Plenty of people in, but relatively un-crowded compared to other pubs nearby.

Adnams - Explorer4.30ExcellentMuch better than I remember this beer to be. Pale. A bit spritzy. Both malty and hoppy, with a long finish.

I find this to be so much more of a bar/restaurant than a pub, but it does do 4 draught Adnams beers, so you can't complain. The crisps at £3 a tub I thought was steep as well as two halves fro £3.35, but I guess it's London and it's the location. I also had the Adnams Spindrift which according to The Publican magazine: "Spindrift is a top-fermented, five per cent ABV, chilled and filtered beer, which will be targeted at premium pubs and bars." It was on tap and not cask conditioned.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Adnams - Old Ale4.10GoodRuby colour with disappearing beige head. Slightly sour fruit aroma. Wonderful in mouth. Dark fruit aroma. Has some sourness. Bit like Harvey's Old, lacks the real sourness I'm looking for. Sour plums and tobacco, fruit and choc and very slight sourness in mouth. Finish lasts with slightly sour plum, Victoria Plum, I rather like the fruit. I like it, fruity and interesting. Soft mouth feel.

Fairly busy on a Saturday afternoon with plenty of customers eating. The food did indeed look good. Sat at the bar reading the London Drinker mag and looking out of the window at Tower Bridge Road
BeerABVScoreNotes
Adnams - Explorer4.30AcceptableGold colour, thin white head. Farty green apple yeasty aroma, thin in mouth with some apple fruit and lemon citrus and some hop on end. Lacks depth and that aroma....
Adnams - Flagship4.30AcceptableDeep gold, with thin white head. Eggy yeasty nose with caramel/toffee. Fullish in mouth, with bitter finish. Some candied orange, but compared with broadside, not that good
