4 beers on, a huge Sunday buffet, 16 ever changing extremely loud individuals and mega hot. Conk has changed. Very popular with many of the old customers returning after the change of managemt. And beer.
Wantsum - Golgotha5.50ExcellentIn great nick and £4.30 a pint.

Early evening visit, my first since the Colin Aris days, never did visit during Four Candles times. Table service, big layout changes but the noise levels meant I could hardly hear the person next to me speaking. Needs urgent noise baffling measures.

The Conk has reopened under new management and not a drop of 4 candles in sight. Artillery is in control of the pub. The pub has been rejigged and conversation is now much easier and new soft furnishings made the pub more comfortable. 5 ales on and a fair crowd in. Beers priced between £3.60 and £3.80.
Shivering Sands - Ribersborg Stout4.70ExcellentIn great nick.
