Very much a local village pub, but try as I might I can't feel the love for it. It might be the stern landlord, or the signed photos of Tory leaders throughout the pub, but as the inlaws love it I have to sample the ales from time to time! Not many folk in. Went for Sunday lunch.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Greene King - Abbot5.00AcceptableNot my favourite beer normally but tried it since the Peddy was rank. Not a bad pint - as tasteless and insipid as I remembered, but nor unpleasant and slightly better than the Peddy. Good colour and aroma.
Marston's - Pedigree4.50AcceptableNot a wonderful pint. Slightly acrid and had a strange metallic hue, did get better after the first pint but quite mediocre
