Early evening fairly busy with folk drinking dotted about everywhere and the associated hubbub of conversations. Seems such a waste of a decent pub with zero interest or enthusiasm for offering a decent beer selection. Welcome to Ashford! A chap at the bar reproached the barman for increasing the volume of the music. I couldn't help but smile smugly..
BeerABVScoreNotes
Sharp's - Doom Bar4.00AcceptableIce cold over sweet and too resinous. TOFTT as they say.

Afternoon visit following a service at a nearby crematorium. Good friendly service but it was disappointing to find just one cask ale on.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Greene King - Ruddles Best3.70GoodA well kept pint but not my favourite beer.

Lunchtime - 3 tables of diners, smell of food. No-one behind the bar but I sat patiently for a couple of minutes when a chap started serving food, saying he would be with me in a minute. I gave up after he disappeared into the kitchen for the third time.

Late afternoon a few others in.
BeerABVScoreNotes

Early evening and busy, the drinkers outnumbered the diners. About 10 years since my last visit, is still a pub that does food, not a restaurant with a bar in situ.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Black Sheep - Best Bitter3.80GoodIn fair nick tho a sweeter finish than I expected.
Adnams - Ghost Ship4.50GoodSlightly chilled made for a refreshing pint.

I have lived within 3 miles of this pub for most of my life and never been in it. On the recommendation of a work colleague I came in on Bank Holiday Monday for a pint before lunch. Nice enough interior and fiendly enough welcome.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Adnams - Broadside4.70AcceptableEither not pulled through from last night or slightly on the turn. The Adnams yeast and fruity malt did come through but there was a vinegar edge to it.
Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%)3.40Not Tried
