Slightly down at heel feel but, with one exception, the beer was excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Batham - Best Bitter4.30ExcellentTraditional black country bitter. Smooth, some bitterness and, perhaps, a little more caramel than I'd been expecting.
Batham - Mild Ale3.50ExcellentFreash cask and it was delicious. Dark, smooth and fruity. Packed with flavour. If all mild was this good it would still sell well today.
Batham - Mild Ale3.50UndrinkableVinegar. This was the first pint pulled from opening. Just wonder why bar staff don't check condition. It was so obviously off.

Has the feel of a 1970s English pub. Friendly enough.

What a fabulous location for a pub - pleasant views and good beer. Sat on the sun terrace.

Batham - Best Bitter4.30ExcellentPerhaps I'm being a bit picky but this didn't taste quite as good as when I had it in the Black Country. Still good though.

Open on a Monday morning by special arrangement as there was a coach load of about 40 of us. We enjoyed some good ales, and some good weather. The beers were superb.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Batham - Best Bitter4.30ExcellentBatham's Bitter is a little bit too sweet for my liking, but this was in really good condition.
Batham - Mild Ale3.50ExcellentSuperb.
