21:15 visit. My chauffeur and a pal picked me up from work and we headed straight here. My first visit and theirs for many a year. A very impressive and very old oak beamed building with a galley to the front upper part used for darts and more seating. My friend sat on a two seater in one of the huge fire places. Looks a real treat and a "must do" on a cold winters night. Nice garden area too and friendly staff/locals. And the two year old Bull Mastiff pub dog was a character. All these positives overshadow the lack of Real Ale choice, but the Guinness was spot on with a choice of normal (always best) or Super Killed (the worst). Well worth a visit and on a busy bus route too.
