Came here on route to Lyme Regis. Bit hard to find but after asking a local walking her dog we got directions. Two small rooms with a nice yard/garden to sit in. When your food is ready they bang on the window.

Lunchtime visit and the only customers. We sat at the bar then moved to a table in the other room.

With a nationally important historic pub interior and winner of many local CAMRA awards, this pub has been run by the same family since 1900. Bought by the National Trust in 1989 and built into Vine Hill, access is via stone steps from the road. The small public bar with upstairs tap room, and cosy lounge with simple bar counter serving 2 beers.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 3 different beers and tried 2 of them.
