It’s a warm evening and almost every customer is sat outside. A Portobello Brewery beer also available.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Inveralmond - Frisco Steamy4.40GoodA hazy, golden colour. Pleasant, hoppy, fruity tastes. Slight sour edge that maybe wasn’t meant to be there.

I have been looking for this Adnams beer with part of the proceeds going to the Marine Conservation Society – so when I saw the pumpclip peering out of the window at me I decided to pop in for a half. Most customers in the large rear garden.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Itchen Valley - Calypso4.10PoorVery bitter pale beer with little or no sweetness or malt character. Unbalanced and too bitter for my taste. My score 9/20.
27 Dec 2011 (Martin the Mildman)
Fairly quiet after Christmas.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Cropton (see also Great Yorkshire) - Darkangel5.00GoodDark brown porter with quite a bitter taste but not much cherry flavour. Rather thin, fruity finish. My score 15/20.
13 Dec 2011 (Martin the Mildman)
Busy on a Tuesday evening in the pre Christmas run up.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Pica Pica4.50ExcellentSmooth black oatmeal stout with a dry roast malt character. Some fruitiness in the finish. My score 16/20.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Cropton (see also Great Yorkshire) - Wanderer (Mike Hall)3.50GoodBrewed by American master brewer Mike Hall at Cropton, this is a pale, quite hoppy bitter. Quite bitter but not too much citrus flavour and a dryish finish to make a refreshing low strength summer style beer. My score 15/20.
