Mostly locals in the friendly bar. To be commended for the use of lined glasses.

Burnside - Mad Dogz3.80AcceptableServed in good condition. Golden IPA which tasted more of a German wheat beer. Some orange and spice, thin bodied, very dry finish. Most un-IPAlike.

The pub is found in Johnshaven, Aberdeenshire, DD10 0HD.

Johnshaven is still a working fishing port and The Anchor is set a short way back from the harbour. After an extensive refurbishment, it offers full, modern hotel facilities. Bar trade is a good mixture of friendly locals and visitors and dogs are welcome. Usually one hand-pump this may increase to two at weekends.

We have visited this pub once, seen 2 different beers and tried both.
