Thwaites - Triple C4.20PoorAn odd beer; creamy and lemony. Unfortunately the lemon tasted here like a couple of squirts of ‘Jif’ in the glass, rather than as the result of clever hopping. Not helped by being served over-chilled and with a ‘Northern’ head, neither of which enhance the flavour

The Three Tuns Hotel in High Street is the oldest pub in Sutton Coldfield dating back to the early 16th century. With past guests such as Shakespeare and Cromwell and reputably haunted by the ‘Royalist Drummer Boy’ who died during the Civil War after being held in the stocks and then later locked in the pub's cellar. 4 handpumps.

We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 4 different beers and tried 3 of them.
