Early evening about a dozen or so and a couple outside. Decent range of hand pumps however I zoomed in on one particular and wasn't disappointed. Sad to see this place decline in popularity with the regulars over the years..

I occasionally visit pubs that I detest, it's a sacrifice I make in honour of the joy and happiness it brought to others, and this one is no exception. Stephen Harris, a once P&B legend, loved and adored this pub, as you can see from past reviews, thus I'm privileged to bathe in the joy and comfort it brought him and a few others too and, to me, it makes it all worthwhile.

22.25 visit alas this was going to be my final stop before taking my launch pad back to Kent but thanks to Co-Vid this place currently closes at 21.00. The good old days of Stephen Harris and Philip Pirrip frequenting this place seem sadly gone..

A brand new pub opened on 13 September 2011 in the Westfield Shopping Centre at Stratford. It is directly opposite Stratford International railway station in what is called International Square, the pub contains a micro-brewery and stocks approximately 500 bottled beers. It is a sister pub to the Rake in Borough Market. 6 handpumps in 2 banks of 3 with one bank usually reserved for Tap East's own brews.
