12:30 Second stop to assess Heritage potential. Steady trade when we arrived but soon got busy as 13:00 approached. The Manager opened up the ballroom for our party to inspect.

28 May 2014 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening. My first visit to Petts Wood pubs and I was impressed with the size and prominence of this pub but not its beer range. Very well maintained inside. Competitive prices with, for example, GK IPA at £2.40pp - presumably the Wetherspoon effect.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Greene King - Strong Suffolk5.00ExcellentA great beer from the GK stable. First time I've seen it in cask form, but at 5% a little lower than the bottle (unless I'm mistaken). £3 per pint makes it good value too, I reckon. This might be an M&B/Ember Inns exclusive.

Adnams - Broadside4.70Good
Adnams - Eat Drink and be Jolly (Lighthouse)3.40AcceptableNo mention of this on the brewer's website, maybe they aren't too proud of it! Not much to it, a little watery and bland. Edit: Informed by Adnams it's a rebranding of Lighthouse for M&B.
