Lynnes sons birthday so its proceccos on the beach with cake. The sun shone but we froze with the wicked breeze. 4 beers on and a full pub full of chatty characters. Unusual beers today all at £3.90 a pint.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Oakham - Echo Cask Aged5.00GoodBrown beer but full of what was described as different hops. The beer didn't work for me though perfectly adequate.
Tiny Rebel - Oh Apricot4.60GoodDescribed as an apricot milkshake but it was for the ladies who enjoyed it not me. In good condition though.

I arrived 3 minutes before 17.00 opening the lights were on and the door unlocked as the barmaid was putting the final touches into place, friendly welcome and was soon joined by a couple of friends and by the time we left a couple of hours later it was standing room only.

Early evening until close (which incidentally is 20.00) less busy than expected thus plenty of space so we took over the window seats and enjoyed our beers before heading off for a curry. I neglected to find out the significance of the TFL route 28 bus blind adorning the wall.

An appalling day with heavy rain and strong winds, the railways were severely disrupted and my bus had to do a three point turn in a country lane when a tree came down and blocked the road so I was surprised to see the town's pubs busy. The King's Head on the seafront was rammed and noisy so I came here instead, the pub was absolutely full and had a great atmosphere. I returned for another pint later in the day.
