Late evening until some time after 11pm close. A randomly planned visit but enjoyable all the more for chance meeting a local CAMRA activist and swapping tales.

A few outside and inside when we arrived mid evening. Had our first drink outside before moving inside as the temperature dropped a little. Friendly staff. By the time we left the place was very busy.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00Acceptable
Brockley - Porter4.30AcceptableThis had replaced the Sussex Best. Strong coffee flavours, not particularly to my liking. During the week the pub had the other Brockley Brewers ales available.
St Austell - Tribute4.20Not Tried

Evening. Rather cliquey around the bar but hey I was only a one pint visitor.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00ExcellentPenultimate pint from the cask and as is so often the case with this beer it was as good as ever, if not better for any sediment in the cask
Mighty Oak - Maydazed3.90Not Tried

Evening. Brockley Brewery beers regularly on here now but tonight were in the cellar but not ready.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Triple fff - Pressed Rat & Warthog3.80Good

30 Mar 2013 (Philip Pirrip)
End of evening hunt for Brockley Brewery wares.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Brockley - Pale Ale4.10Excellent1st rate I must say. Tasting notes said hints of apricot and like the scarf in Carly Simon's "You're so vain" there certainly was
Brockley - Golden Ale3.80GoodTasting notes said hints of tangerine and there were but the Pale Ale quality hit the mark better
Titanic - Black Ice4.10Not Tried

I arranged to meet two friends here after work and we were all pleasantly surprised to find that a small beer and cider festival was in progress. The pub is in Brockley incidentally, rather than Brockely, which sounds like something you might eat.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Orkney (Sinclair) - Raven Ale3.80GoodGolden in colour with fruity malt and bitter hops.
Coastal - Merry Maidens Mild4.00GoodA dark brown, almost black mild with a little bit of roastiness.
Crouch Vale - Brewers Gold4.00AcceptableSuffered a little from being served on gravity dispense from a temporary stillage – a bit warm and flat. But recognisably Brewers Gold.
