13:15 A visit to see what changes the renaming and renovation had wrought. Could have been worse was the opinion. Fairly quiet, one party dining in the rear room, the front two bars were empty apart from us.

The pub is found in Bighton, Hampshire, SO24 9RE.

Following the retirement of the previous licensees the pub has been renovated and renamed. The pub has been decorated throughout, the armchairs in front of the fire replaced with dining tables and the carpet covering removed from the smaller bar counter. It is fairly obvious that food is king here, but in comparison to what I have seen done to other pubs in the process of gastroisation this place still retains a reasonably pubby feel. Pub reopened under its original name September 2020 after being closed for nearly 3½ years.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 3 different beers and tried 2 of them.
