13:15 Passing by on our way to next 'Spoons I thought the party would appreciate the pub. My first visit since the restoration. The booths were all full but we had the front bar to ourselves. Only one chap behind the bar!
Samuel Smith's - Old Brewery Bitter | 4.00 | | Usual thin fare |

Early evening and it’s nice to be able to choose where to sit in this beautifully restored pub.
Samuel Smith's - Old Brewery Bitter | 4.00 | | None of the creamy texture I have noticed in this beer of late – in fact this pint is quite sharp. Freshly on? From a newly-made barrel? Who knows? I liked it though. |

Mid evening visit. Well tourist populated and I got into deep conversation with a French Swiss speaking man about politics in Switzerland - it's probably even more divisive than here!
Samuel Smith's - Old Brewery Bitter | 4.00 | | Better than at the Chandos over the weekend. Same price at £2.90 pp |
25 Jul 2012 (Stephen Harris)
Pub busy in the early evening and I ended up in the rear bar on the right – perhaps the least splendid of this pub’s multitude of rooms, but one which always seems to have a spare seat or two.
Samuel Smith's - Taddy Porter | 5.00 | | Served from a bottle. Very deep ruby red in colour. The basic flavour is of fruit cake, with tastes of caramel, chocolate and liquorice. |
Samuel Smith's - Old Brewery Bitter | 4.00 | Not Tried | |

My first time here as it is not on my usual cycle route through London. I hope to come back when it is less packed to view the interior. I had to stand outside whilst gulping my very cheap pint of OBB
Samuel Smith's - Old Brewery Bitter | 4.00 | | Served with a tight sparkler. Copper colour. Creamy bitter. Decent enough with a toffee hop finish and at £1.72 a pint in central London, you really can't argue |
