Busy so we sat by ourselves in the rear yard-garden and looked at the moon over the church in the middle distance.

Mid evening Tuesday - empty until Robert, ex landlord of the Red Lion Stodmarsh, and his wife came in. Bit of a chat about the lack of "drinkers pubs" in the countryside now.

Good friendly pub for the locals. There were a few people scattered around the bar and football on the TV. The landlady seemed a bit of a laugh.

Late afternoon and there were a handful of people in. Service was friendly and it was nice to be somewhere quiet. Sat in the side room and flicked through some of the books on the shelf. Good pub.

Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter3.70GoodTasted like bitter grape juice. Nice and fresh with that signiture sheps flavour but like most master brew it starts getting sickly too soon.
