Early evening just as customers were arriving for the monthly Monday quiz. Busy at the bar until the quiz started. Good vibe.

Selection of pockets of beer drinkers scattered throughout the pub, chattering away. Very pleasant, as a proper pub should be. Sister pub to the FC in Norwich, but probably less turnover so fewer beers, but still a fab selection. 12 on, 10 gravity fed. Bishop Nick, Brazen 3.8 at a very reasonable £3:40, nice pint.

The pub is found in Ipswich, Suffolk, IP4 5NL.

Located in a purely residential part of Ipswich. About 8 to 10 minutes walk from Derby Road Railway Station on the Ipswich to Felixstowe branch line. A main L shaped bar and another on the left and a conservatory type back bar all seated. The pub does not offer any facilities for children or dogs in the pub or garden. A total of up to 20 real ales may be on sale at any time - 2 active handpumps on the bar but "The Tap Room" is behind the area from where staff serve customers and is equipped with gravity stillage for all the other ales. A regular winner of awards from the local CAMRA branch. The walls are adorned with old enamel signs and beer waiter trays. One particularly large round enamel sign advertises Wadworth Northgate Beers.

We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 30 different beers and tried 5 of them.
