Mostly wet sales today with nibbles on the bar. Diners seemed to be taking full advantage of the local fish and chip outlets nearby. A busy sunny Sunday afternoon full inside and out. Flexible plastic containers were being used for those drinking outside and proper glass glasses used inside.

15:30 visit. Having ridden through New Romney, St Mary's Bay, Dymchurch, Hythe and Sandgate, which were all full up today, it was nice to finally arrive in a fairly relaxed Folkestone Harbour. The ales were tempting, but I resisted..Great day out.

10am on a Friday morning and the pub was already very busy. A double decker 'bus disgorged about forty of us and completely filled the pub, we were expected and there were three bar staff on duty but almost without exception everybody wanted the same beer. Fortunately the cask did not run out until just about everybody had been served.

A large crowd of us, on a day's trip by vintage London red RT bus, were here for just about open doors. Friendly staff handled the rush. Undergoing some internal redecorations with loose bits and pieces stored all over the place.

My first visit here for many years, and the internal layout has changed completely. Gone are the separate bars and corridors, replaced by one large bar. It seems to work as the pub was very busy.
