Late Saturday morning, I met a friend by chance in Strand so we decided to pop in here for a pint. I took advantage of an app voucher to get a pint of house beer for £1. Surprisingly busy for this time of day.

I think this is the first time that I have ventured inside this pub. I used my Nicholson's app to get 25p off the price of a pint but it still seemed quite pricey. Good service and a nice pint.

Evening. Why such booming music is required with so many post theatre conversations taking place is beyond me. Despite this and being so busy, bar staff still took time to interact with customers.

16:00 My second from last stop of the day. Busy. We utilised the Hop Circle app to get a discount. Impressed by the old bar back, the marble wall and the gilded ceiling.

The pub is found in Covent Garden, Central London, WC2R 0HS.

Nicholson's pub on the corner of Wellington Street and The Strand. The ground floor bar is on 2 levels and has an ornate brown and gilt ceiling and the bar counter has 7 handpumps on the lower level and 4 on the upper one. Upstairs is Dukes Dining Room which does not have a bar counter but does give good views over Waterloo Bridge. Good feel to this grand pub. Interesting light fittings.

We have visited this pub 8 times, seen 21 different beers and tried 7 of them.
