Early evening. Gone forever, now an international food store so I bought a beef and onion pie, chicken and bacon sandwich and a can of pop.

17:55 visit. This was called something else the last time I was here. Clean, tidy and almost certainly, a bit "lively" in the evenings! Small crowd in plus some friendly staff. I sat by the entrance and watched this small crowd all disappear out the back, rapidly followed by the staff. I never ever publish negatives on any www. I left sharpish....

In Ordnance Terrace so found close to and visible from the railway station, this pub dates back to circa 1847. Has had many owners and changes of name over the decades. By July 2015 firmly established as a street corner International Food Store.

We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 2 different beers and tried 1 of them.
