I was in the area so popped in for a flying visit to see what it was like. The pub had 2 rooms, both nicely done with lots of wood furniture and a good atmosphere. I liked it.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Theakston - Grouse Beater4.20AcceptableThis was one of the most bizarre beers I've had. It looked in really good condition and smelt of sherbet BUT the taste was of sharp lemon and sherbet to the point that I couldn't decide if there was a lot of vinegar in it. As a beer, I couldn't work it out and to be honest I didn't fancy trying. Given that I can't work out if it was off I'll give it a score of Acceptable but it was touch and go whether I gave it a "poor".
Marston's - Wychwood Hobgoblin IPA (was Ruby Beer, was Hobgoblin)4.50Not Tried
