20 Nov 2012 (Martin the Mildman)
Farily quiet on a Tuesday early evening.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Crate - Stout5.70ExcellentExcellent full bodied stout with plenty of roast malt flavours with hints of coffee and dark chocolate. Some fruity hop in the finish. My score 17/20.
07 Sep 2012 (Stephen Harris)
Busy Friday evening, with many customers on the decking at the rear on a hot evening. The fall of the Trinity meant they had just one real ale available.
BeerABVScoreNotes
London Fields - Pale Ale3.70ExcellentAmber/gold in colour. Sharply bitter. In very good condition here.
Flying Dog - Doggie Style5.50AcceptableI accepted a half of this US keg beer when the Trinity ran out. Chestnut coloured, underwhelming hop character. Bit of toffee.
Redemption - Trinity3.00Not TriedRan out just as I was waiting to order one.
28 Aug 2012 (Martin the Mildman)
A few drinkers and early diners in late afternoon on a Tuesday.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ilkley - Rhubarb Saison5.90AcceptableNot really my style of beer, but this hazy pale/golden ale was well brewed. Quite bitter with citrus hop notes and a yeasty dryness in the finish. My score 14/20.
14 Jul 2012 (Martin the Mildman)
Fairly busy late on a Saturday afternoon.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Hackney - Golden Ale4.00GoodA well balanced dark gold beer with good all round flavours and a easy drinking character. My score 15/20.
