Late afternoon busy, rowdiness in the public bar prompted me to opt for the quieter saloon bar in this epitome of a back street local

Dirty, Ill mannered staff and not a friendly place. The beer was not in good shape either.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00UndrinkableIt was cloudy and the taste certainly wasn’t Harvey’s. Quite possibly disguised as another bitter.

The Police Roxanne was playing as we came in. The some Rolling Stones. Community focused, friendly and just nice.

Just a handful of locals and a very affectionate pub cat in on a Thursday lunchtime.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Marston's - 5 (five) hop3.80GoodGolden bitter with a surprisingly good hop character for this brewery. Good bitterness and the house brewery style malt and yeast flavour. My score 15/20.
