28 Nov 2012 (Bear & Ragged Staff)
Christmas lights have just been turned on in Oswestry - pub fairly busy.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Monty's - Ding Dong4.40AcceptableObviously a bitter, served to cold to get the full flavour.
07 Nov 2012 (Bear & Ragged Staff)
Just a quick pint or two!
BeerABVScoreNotes
Greene King - IPA Gold4.10GoodA musty aroma with an overwhelming taste of mushrooms and a fairly bitter finish! I didn't think it was too bad but I can understand others disapproving.
Monty's - MPA4.00GoodI know there are lots of nice citrus and malty flavours in this beer. In this pint the flavours were a bit muted, in my opinion the beer was served too cold.
01 Oct 2012 (Bear & Ragged Staff)
Quite busy at early doors.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Monty's - MPA4.00ExcellentA very good pale ale with good hops and citrus balance. Medium dry leaving a delicate malty aftertaste.
