Very nice pub I thought - but not one other customer in during my early Saturday lunchtime visit.

Edge of town centre pub with a long history – established by 1644 and the oldest surviving pub in town. Plenty of wooden beams and old fireplaces. Extended to side with a lower-level bar and also a large rear bar. Garden seating to rear.
