11:00 visit. Day five of my Mersey Meander and a main line train from Lime Street to St Helens Central soon found me in this large airy place. A few shoppers in and even fewer ales on than average. Very much a coffee shop/continental bar style feel to this place with this seemingly new, trendy layout with JD's I note, of putting a seperate coffee serving point in and an open plan kitchen with a large serving point. All positive moves I'd say. Nice place.

The pub is found in St Helens, Merseyside, WA10 1PY.

Large, modern Wetherspoon's / Lloyds No 1 bar, very near the town centre in Water Street, part of a modern entertainment complex, with a cinema next door. Open plan with huge glass windows all around. All usual refinements. Opened in November 2009.

We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried 1 of them.
