Noon on a cold and windy Sunday. The pub filled up with locals and walkers. The landlord and barman were a mine of information on old houses, fireplaces, dogs and jackdaws.Wonderful game based meals and prime beer.My kind of pub.Famously, no lager beer is sold, but there were some interesting looking bottles of Belgian exotica.

Abbeydale - Absolution5.30ExcellentA cracking beer:pale but not over hoppy, sweetish but not cloying.
