Pubs been done up. Massive open air space on the roof.13 guest ales plus 3 regulars. Great selection of beer. No wonder this is the local poty. And its a spoons!
BeerABVScoreNotes
Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Jaipur5.90ExcellentCrackin and fresh on
Sadler's (see also Windsor Castle entry) - American Rye5.00Excellent
Oakham - Citra4.20GoodBought 2 pints. Poured through a sparkler. The second pint was flat. After being left on the table for 30 mins. Not sure why they put sparklers on beers in such a busy pub.

Interesting visit. My beer must have given me a hell of a kick as 20 mins after drinking up, on my way home I some how ended up in hospital. Not sure what happened but 11 hours later I was discharged. Nothing wrong with me apparently.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Sadler's (see also Windsor Castle entry) - Peaky Blinder Black IPA (was 4.6%)4.40ExcellentFrom what I remember this was much better than the one I had in a different spoons last Friday.

New Years eve into the New Year. Bottle of Dack was closed at 12am but this place had a disco and 10 beers on. None of the sorry not available in the sack. Giant head on my beer. Boss said that we are allowed to give a 5% HEAD.Not the sort of thing I want to hear from a camra poty 9 years in a row.£3.09 for a few beers here. Not expensive in the great scheme of things but a lot for a brummie spoons. Beer was excellent though.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Enville - Gothic Ale5.20ExceptionalWow. Worth the premium price.
Purity - Saddle Black5.10ExceptionalIm not a purity fan, but this was excellent. £2.65 a pint.

Big crowd, excellent selection of beers but cold pub with heaps of snow falling outside. I believe this pub was not only named the local pub of the year but also the West Midlands POTY. A fine establishment.

Backyard - Bad Santa6.80Not TriedDesperate to try this, but as I was driving and the snow was deep, not advisable
