Late afternoon and busy in this well run back street local which was well signposted via an alley off the main high street.

17:00 Very busy. Last day of beer festival, beers for which were in a shed at the rear of the pub. I stuck to the bar so didn't record what was on offer outside.

A good number of customers here mid-afternoon, including some rather boisterous pool players. Beer and breweries talk at the bar.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Farmer's Ales (Maldon Brewing) - Dark Horse6.60GoodA chestnut-coloured, sweetish, strong ale – almost a barley wine I think.
Wibblers - Providence IPA3.60AcceptableI think this might be a house beer for this pub. Important to note that it is not an India Pale Ale, but an ‘East Anglia IPA’, which makes it a darkish, malty and slightly tangy bitter, rather than a pale hop-monster.
