Late lunchtime. My first visit to the new, bigger premises. Has retained the style of a micro but too large now to qualify? Open all day now and a good trade by the number of customers today. One of our party had donated dozens of beer mats that adorn the back wall - well worth a look as they date back to the 1960s.

Early evening. Surprisingly all seats already taken so we had to stand for our first pint.
Hop Fuzz - Old American Pale4.20Good
Turnstone - Atlantic5.00PoorLots of heated debate with my colleague about the marking of this one. Tasted OKish, not off but was as opaque as a scrumpy perry with little condition. He would have marked as acceptable

About The Tankerton Arms

The pub sign. The Tankerton Arms, Tankerton, Kent

Summary of Beer Scores

The pub is found in Tankerton, Kent, CT5 2AW.

A Micropub in Tankerton Road which first opened on Friday 15th March 2013 located in 139B Tankerton Road. The name is a resurrection of the old Tankerton Arms pub which was highly regarded but converted to apartments sometime ago. The premises was formerly a tattoo parlour and the word Tattoo remains on the glass above the pub frontage. There is no bar counter and there are long wooden raised bench seats fitted to both the left and right hand walls each with 3 heavy chest-height wooden tables. At the back of the pub a glass door leads to the chilled gravity stillage room. A Unisex toilet with a double "kissing gate" entrance is provided. Sells real ales, ciders and red and white wine. Local CAMRA branch Pub of the Year 2016. Subsequently moved to new premises, a few doors along, in late March 2018 to the former HSBC bank premises at 135 Tankerton Road, larger than the previous premises in all regards.

We have visited this pub 35 times, seen 104 different beers and tried 57 of them.
