16:20 Open Garden Tour refreshment break. Thought it might be just drinkers but still people dining. Landlord was rather brusque.

13:00 Pub was full with diners. Only one other drinker, took ages to get served as one person behind bar busy taking complicated food orders. When I did get a beer it was freezing. This is the current rural pub of the year for the local CAMRA branch. I have no idea why.

Very atmospheric on a Thursday lunchtime.A comfortable hum from drinkers and diners.We sat in the little bar and discussed hedgehogs and stalking.

The pub is found in Wymondham, Norfolk, NR18 0PH.

Ancient pub in Church Street, frontage still shows charring from the Great Fire of Wymondham. Two bars, one mainly used for dining. The room with the bar is very atmospheric. Guest beers from the SIBA range. Closed with financial difficulties 14th February 2023. Re-opened a month or two later in April 2023.

We have visited this pub 10 times, seen 17 different beers and tried 9 of them.
