Early evening visit for a family meal - not too busy at first - filled up with diners after 8. Friendly staff - I was suckered into just drinking Hooray Henry to collect points for a free boater! May have to return for two more.

A late afternoon visit and most customers are in the garden on a hot day. The landlord found time to come over and chat about beer.

The pub is found in Goring-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, RG8 9HB.

A timeless village pub, said to be the oldest building in Goring. A couple of little drinking areas, plus a nice garden. At some point the pub has been extended into the next door former village forge, and this provides a dining area. Gentlemen will need a discerning eye to determine the location of the facilities, should they need to go.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 5 different beers and tried 2 of them.
