Visits Details

01 Jun 2013 (Stephen Harris)
Mid-afternoon visit having failed to find any space in here the previous evening. I ordered a tasting palette with small measures of all five beers available, plus a low-quality burger and chips – together these made a big dent in my daily budget. Beer strengths were not given (except for the Brascott) – I have made the assumption that all were 4.8% (the standard beer strength in Switzerland) and will update if I learn more.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Les Brasseurs (Geneva) - Blonde Pur Malt4.80GoodPale and cloudy. Slightly lemony. Easily the best of a poor selection.
Les Brasseurs (Geneva) - Blanche4.80AcceptableA cloudy, pale, German-style wheat beer with bananary flavours.
Les Brasseurs (Geneva) - Ambree Double Malt4.80AcceptableAmber-coloured and hazy. A bit of caramel. Harmless, verging on tasteless.
Les Brasseurs (Geneva) - Brascott4.80AcceptableThe seasonal special. Amber-coloured. Whisky malt flavours. Not bad, although not my thing at all.
Les Brasseurs (Geneva) - Biere Specialle au Agave et Citron Vert4.80PoorNovelty beer. Very sweet with gooey cactus flavours and a strong hint of lime. Hard to identify as beer really – my waitress said it was a ‘ladies drink’.

A large brew-pub on Place Cornavin, Geneva’s main transport hub. It is one of four Les Brasseurs brew-pubs in Switzerland, and they are closely related to the chain of 3 Brasseurs brew-pubs in France. There are spacious seating areas within and pavement tables at both front and rear.

We have visited this pub once, seen 5 different beers and tried them all.
