Coming in to this rather up-market pub in mid-afternoon on a Sunday, pretty much every table was occupied by diners to the point that I felt I should ask if it was OK just to have a pint. Of course it was, and the staff were most accommodating and friendly.

13:45 Lunch stop. Pub conversion from a shop. Bit stark. Good food. Friendly barmaid with an interest in beer. Got talking to a couple from Whitby on a similar crawl. Recommended the Blue Ball to them.
