Lunch time visit. The pub now opens at 16:00 but the guv opened the door and showed us around this newly refurbished pub. Sheps have not done a bad job and most of the original features remain intact. The exterior tiling now looks very smart indeed. A pity that we were too early in the day to get a beer.

Mid evening visit. 1st time here for many years. Although opened out retains many original features. Just locals in on a misty spring night. Traditional landlord and landlady, the former seemed to be finger bandaged after a dog bite (if I heard rightly).

Long time since I was last here. The beer range was a little disappointing.

A reasonable crowd in on a very hot afternoon. The beach was packed just as it used to be in the sixties, certainly the busiest that I can remember it since my childhood. Some redecoration is planned for this pub soon, I hope that they don't wreck it.

Lunchtime, and a first time in, and with a pal from Buxton down too. Nice, a proper Sheps type pub I thought, friendly bar lady. Impressed. Not listing/scoring these days.

Early afternoon, we sat in the rear bar with the comfort of a real fire on a very cold afternoon.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Shepherd Neame - Muddy Water4.50ExcellentBrewed on the Pilot plant for the Broadstairs Blues Festival, hence the name, but I still found it odd to ask for a pint of muddy water. The beer tasted a bit like a weaker version of Bishops Finger.

Peered through the window and saw they had the porter on, don't think I've ever rushed into a pub quicker!
